for one of their artistes or bands to do a proper job with? Any one who helps me to sell a song gets free cheese and pickle sandwiches for a week!
I have some songs in http://www.groovymovies.tv/media.html (not recording and selling to the public - but selling to record labels for their artistes to release) You need to research first the top honcho in the music area you write for. Send them some tapes, with a phone number you can always be contacted on, and give them a call if you haven't heard within a couple of weeks. This old system still works, you just have to give it a while 'cos they get inundated with tapes, and it doesn't hurt to keep reminding them you're there. an easy and simple way to start selling your songs is with a program called TuneCore. This program allows you to sell your music (once uploaded) on music programs such as iTunes, Napster, and Rhapsody. There is a small fee of $20.00 per year for storage, and there is a cost of $1 per album, $1 per song. (this is how much you have to pay to get your music onto TuneCore) Good luck in selling your music! |
