I'm in band and chorus, I'm thinking about quitting band because I don't understand how to recognize e,g,b,d,f,a,c,e as notes like do,re,mi,fa,so,la,ti. Can someone compare the two as to which notes they are. egbdface are notes that you are suppose to play on a instrument to make the right tone or note to go in a sequence to make a song. do re me fa so la ti do are tones like tuning your voice. ya do might sound like c and re like d but they are always going to be the same no matter what you can't read a do flat or a fa major and you can jump scales and pitches with cdbge a musician doesn't know where to put his fingers if all he see's is fa do ti mi there is really know reason to compare them one is a tone or pitch and the other lets you know what tone or pitch to play at that time one is good for music class egbd and one is good for singing classes hope that helped you out good luck cdefgab is doremifasolati Recognising the notes as they are comes with lots of practice. My advice is get a basic beginners book and memorise the spaces and the lines and apply it your instrument of choice...dont quit the band..the more you practice the better u will get ....it takes time.....Just to comfort u I have been playing a while now.... and still can't read my bass staff with accurate speed...best of luck.. |
