what other genres could be played with it? Are you new to guitar? If so, get a guitar for how it plays, not how it sounds. When you get better you can swap the pickups and get different amps and effects to get virtually whatever sound you want out of it. If you're not new to guitar, go find one and try it out, if you like it, get it.
