I would love to learn acoustic guitar. Which brand and how much should I plan on spending on this guitar? What store do you recommend?
Thanks!
Any tips/info welcome! You should go to the guitar store and try to play as many guitars in your price range that you can find. Choose the one that sounds and feels the best. If you know someone who plays then see if you can get them to come along to help.
Go online and find a bunch in your price range and write down or print out the make and model numbers. (The store prices will be higher usually) You can use the paper to take notes about what you played and whether you liked it or not.
I wouldn't go too much below $250 for a beginning guitar. You shouldn't have to pay more than $350. Your first guitar doesn't need to be the most beautiful or have the most features. You want to make sure it feels and sounds decent to you. That way it will keep you motivated to keep practicing.
Guitar Center and Sam Ash also have online sites. Of course it may be good to support the local community and try to check out some local stores. Look in the yellow pages of your phone book for musical instruments.
Good Luck. Yamaha i think. sony well u want to get a gibson their the best as to how much who knows? estabon, and whatever your price range can handle, you dont want to buy a crappy guitar :D
Why do acoustic when electric is where its at?
And why not do bass, clearly cooler than an acoustic guitar.
John Deacon kicks ***! Yamaha for a Beginner Hi!
I'm starting a beginner guitar class soon, (teaching one). From my experience, Yamaha, Epiphone and Ibanez all make decent beginning guitars. You can expect to spend $200 give or take for one. Some people may suggest you can't go lower than $350 buying a guitar but I disagree. You don't want to put a lot of money into an instrument you are just beginning. It's fine to learn on a cheaper one. Then you'll know if you really want to stick with it and can save for a nicer one.
You don't, however, want to buy one at Walmart and expect to get a decent instrument.
The best prices around I've seen are at Musicians Friend -online. They have free shipping over $49.
Good luck! Guitar is a lot of fun. well if u can find them ventura is a great brand they sound better that fenders in my opinion and they start around 150 bucks...also Johnson brand guitars are easy to find and their cheap
earphones are great guitars but their kinda expensive but they play like a Gibson try local pawn shops look for guitar that look like their new or look like they've been played either way the former owner took care of it and u can try musicansfriend.com they have great starter kits and low prices good luck I bought a brand new Fender Acoustic (you can plug it in, too...comes with a built-in pick-up)
From "Guitar Center"...it's got a black finish and pick guard on the front...runs around $199.00 (less if you get it on sale...)...Great guitar, for the money, though...good action...nice tone...built-in volume and tone adjuster when it's plugged into an amp... Depends on what your budget is really.
