Has the world forgot how beautiful Karen Carpenters voice was?

I certainly haven't forgotten her. I used to have all the Carpenter's records. It was a real loss to the music world when she died so very young. The illness was too much along with the pressures of the professional world she thrived within. What beautiful music! Not many at all compare with her today! We miss you Karen.

She had a sublime voice. Poor girl. Too bad she had anorexia and bulimia.

Well, I rarely hear the Carpenters played on the radio stations I listen to...but the fans are all still there.

I don't even know who that is.

I'd say it was heart-wrenching. You can really hear her pain in there. So sad.

She was a sweetheart. Tragic end so young.

She did have a good voice but the songs she sang were SO sappy! Especially the Christmas ones.

I actually just listened to the Carpenters version of Please Mr. Postman the other day on youtube! It was great!

She had such a beautiful voice.

I can tell you that I haven't forgotten. I hear some of her music on the musak machine at work and I just love it. It is a shame that she had to leave the world so early and in such a painful way.

To be honest, I actually have a very strong dislike of Karen Carpenters voice- I've noticed that most people have a strong dislike of at least one very popular (or prevelant) singer's voice, and she happens to be the worst one for me.


Oh, and I'm hearing her Christmas music aaaaaall over the place, so I dunno where you're coming from on this. At least her music is still around - especially around Christmas. And WAAAY too much.

I will never forget that time in history. She sang effortless and without any strain. We were very fortunate to have had a talet like her's cross our path in life

It's not Christmas without hearing that sappy song of hers. I love Karen Carpenter.

How can one forget her especially when christmas is just few days away. I can still remember her "Merry Christmas Darling".
