Can someone help with step-by-step instructions on how to do this?
I have a Fender Strat, and the tone is horrible shielding only affects the hum factor of the guitar , not the tone of the instrument, but I use aluminum tape to cover the inside of the control cavity and back of the pickguard, and connect it to the ground circuit of the controls. it does cut down the 60hz. noise when not playing the guitar. as far as tone goes you could replace the pickups with aftermarket units ( seymour duncan or dimarzios, etc. ) |
