How many of you think Oprah's a fraud?

I was watching Oprah and one day, Al Gore was on and he was b*tching about using less of our resources and whatever else he always says and Oprah said something along the lines of, "Oh yes, I never ever overuse any resources. I try very hard to conserve and save our planet". But then, she had some specialist come in and talk about how dirty bedsheets get just by sleeping in them and Oprah said something like, "I knew this all along. I have my bedsheets washed everyday and replaced every month". Well, isn't that using an awful lot of water washing them every day? And replacing them every month uses a lot of cotton or silk or whatever she uses. I personally believe she's an old fraud.

Oprah is not my favorite celebrity. I'm aware that she is very popular and has many fans, however she seems to be her own number one fan.

I saw that episode and thought she was totally ridiculous. Who changes their bedsheets every day? That's so unrealistic. She just likes to hear herself talk and thinks she knows everything. I can't stand her anymore.
She tries to act like a common, everyday person but then says something only a stupid super rich elitist would say. She's lost touch with reality.

to compare oprah against her peers you got phil donahue who races on his knees shoving a microphone in someone's face... ricky lake who never really made it in show business... sally jessie raphael who was a better student than a teacher on her show... jerry springer who brought down the bar on talk show hosts staging the audience... montel who was a wannabee.... and the others who i don't think are missed... so compared to them is oprah any MORE of a fraud than them...

If you made millions of dollars a year I do think you would have one of your many maids change the bed sheets once or twice a day

I don't know how much of a fraud she is, but she isn't all that or any smarter than the average American, or anyone in her audience. Simply because she's on T.V. doesn't mean she knows what's best or how to solve everything. People need to realize that she's a normal person and simply because she says something doesn't mean it's gospel. It's actually kind of scary how much "power" with the people she has, if you know what I'm saying...

Just like that?A couple of bed sheets and you call her a fraud.Her show is popularly watched and liked in more than three dozen countries.She has taken up social causes which no media person would dare to even touch.Do you mean to imply that you are a lot more smarter than all those millions of people who admire and respect her?That too for some bed sheets ?If you aren't a kid then you must be kidding,that too to yourself. Have a heart.

I don't think it makes her a fraud, but she needs to think about her audience sometimes. I thought her even mentioning that she has her sheets changed that often was a perfect example of rich people flaunting their money. She came from nothing and knew how that would sound to most of America.

Let's just hope she sends her old sheets to her school in Africa and doesn't just throw them away.

the money has gone to her head. i quit watching after she bought 3 puppies from a breeder and had a show about it. doesn't she know about puppy farms?? and has she ever mentioned that AIDS is a rampant problem among black women... NO!!!
