Why don't you allow contacts?

sometimes i get a really cool response to my question and i add that person to my network and send an e-mail letting them know how much i appreciate their help. some times, though, user does not allow e-mail is what i see. i don't do i m, so i have no way to contact you. is this like a security thing or do you not want to be contacted or...? how, then, would i thank you? know what i'm asking?

Some people (like me) don't allow e-mail contact because too many people are rude and would abuse the privilege. You can thank them by voting there answer best, which then gives you the opportunity to leave a message under their answer. I have gotten many thank yous and other comments that way. In fact I got three today.

To avoid stalkers.

So you can't be their fan and see their questions

Some people have no sense of fun/adventure.

I do allow contacts to e-mail me.

i dont allow email because a girl on here being rude about my profile, she was writing me mean emails because i wrote about my daughter and how im proud of her...so i just stopped it and ignore her

people are paranoid , Thats pretty much the only reason , unless they are anti social

I leave my e-mail up for people like you, but I block fans because I used to get like a fan everyday and it kept e-mailing me saying you have a new contact! or your contact has asked a new question! and it really bugged me.
