Has your school or office ever had to be evacuated due to a REAL emergency?

My senior year in high school we had to be evacuated due to a fire in the cafeteria.

When I was in first grade, some tanker truck overturned nearby the school and we were evacuated.

I was in middle school, this was right after 9/11 and someone called in a bomb threat. All of the police and firefighters showed up. Meanwhile across town while the police was busy looking for a bomb, a bank was robbed.

We had a lot of bomb scares, but no real bombs.

No, but most days at work I prey for the building to go up in flames.

We had a bomb threat awhile ago, but nothing came of it.

we got evacuated becuase a student threatned to blow up the school, police dogs came searched every locker, they found drugs.

too much gas in a chem lab classroom, small trash can fire in a chem lab, and lightning hit something on the roof above one of the english classrooms once. Yes....a few times. There was actually a kid who came in with a bbgun a couple days ago, but we weren't evacuated, the cops took him away. Ahhhhh public school....

Not evacuated,but my school had to be shut down because someone broke out of jail and was walking around campus armed.We couldn't leave out of the classrooms and a teacher/guard had to stand by the doors and windows.I was SO scared.

nope nope nope.... at my school we have a fire drill every month and it gets annoying.... and the fire alarm is really loud and annoying its like "wee aaaa, weee aaa weee aaa" and there's all these red flashing lights and then we have to sit on the field for a long time before they call us back inside

No but in 6th grade we all most got evacuated due to a small fire in the lunch room. Due to the french frie fryer. Have not had fried french fries in school since. We were out side for about an hour.

Yah, we were in like some red code because there was these 2 people who had guns on their hands running away from police 1 block away in middle school, and my brother said he had a real emergency when this kid in his class brought a gun to his math class and they were in some yellow code. There was thsi other kid who had a rifle on his hand and the whole school had to be evacuated but the rifle was from ROTC and it was fake.

No, we've evacuated because we thought gas pipes were leaking, but they finally decided that it was actually a janitor using a gas powered weed-whaker too close to an air conditioning unit. They made us go back in, but it made a lot of people sick so it was kinda real. We also had 4 or 5 bomb threats that year. They weren't real.

We had to in high school, there was a bomb threat at the school. We were outside in below zero temps with no jackets for about 2-2 1/2 hours.

Ultimately it was a student from the school who got suspended and was made about it.

there was once a student who brought a supposedly gun into my high school. every student ended up getting locked in the class they were in and they sat in that room for hours until they were checked by police. my school has 4 floors and over 2500 students. they went room buy room, one at a time. it really sucked if you were on the 4th floor. when you were free you had to leave. you couldnt go to your locker since they had to be checked. that was a while ago though
