When you read the Bible as a kid did you get the impression Christianity was all about watersports?

"Divers" this and "divers" that. I think I took up scuba diving because I'd been raised in such a religious household and didn't want to break any rules my parents might have neglected to impart.

If you don't know what I'm talking about maybe you didn't read the edition I read. Instead of diverse, as in many and varied, it read divers, which I took to mean leapers into water.
