I'm a social outcast by choice.not social butterfly I've noticed that the older I get, the less I care to be around people. I get along very well with my peers, but I have a small circle of friends (also by choice) who understand that I'd much rather stay home and watch movies with them or have an "open house" two or three times a year than go to a club where there are a bunch of strangers. My brother says I have "hermit tendencies."

I imagine that I'll be a total recluse by the time I'm 40. It's so much easier to do now that you can literally do everything from the comfort of your own home, including shop for groceries!

**Edit: Oh, and by the way, my self-esteem (or lack thereof) has absolutely nothing to do with my choice to not be a "social butterfly." I don't need to be around a bunch of people or have a lot of so-called "friends" to validate myself. When a person is mature enough and self-confident enough to be happy with themselves, that marks true growth.**

50/50 for me. I'm only hear to get over stress and over heartbreaking relationship and to share my knowledge and learn and make friend like you. so yes I am a social butterfly 20 hours in the real world and 4 hours on Y,A. how about you honey? are you a social butterfly too or not?
