If girls like a guy with personality, then why do they keep ignoring ugly people?

They always want hot and cute guys, so they always go for them. And when there's an ugly guy in the corner, they just ignore them. I thought girls were looking for personality, i thought looks don't matter?

What happend to beauty is in the eye of the beholder, looks don't matter? Inner beauty is everything I don't get it!!!?

And usually the hot and cute guys are usually abusive later on, this is dumb!

A lot of people in general are superficial and do think mainly of looks. I think everyone is average looking; I almost never find anyone attractive or unattractive, physically. [and I don't really like jocks.. Why do people keep saying jocks are hot?] You are obviously referring to the wrong girls [the 'hot' girls, as you say.] Those who do say it and don't think it are only saying it to look good. In the end, a persons personality is what truly defines a person's beauty.

not all the guys "with personality" that girls go for aren't ugly. in fact, a great number of them are, and for this fact, it proves that personality can work. now, if a guy is both ugly and has no personality, then that's two reasons why he is alone.

Nice girls will appreciate a guy for his charm and personality .....
I guess that is how you judge the NICE girls from the superficial ones .. right ... ?

Stop your griping. It is much easier to be an ugly guy than woman in this world. Ugly guys just have to try a little harder.

Looks matter. They do, okay. You HAVE to be attracted to someone in order to date them. So someone butt ugly - no they're probably not going to get much attention.

But an average guy with an awesome personality has MUCH more of a chance with me than a hot guy with a crappy personality.

So BOTH are important. Personality does win, but like i said -you do need to be attracted to them.

Girls would probably not go for the guy hanging in the corner BECAUSE he is hanging in the corner, showing no personality! Imagine approaching the person standing in the corner, it would appear as if he did not want to be social wouldn't it? It would probably make people believe that he wanted to be left alone!

However if that guy took a deep breath, left that corner and started making conversation with people, having fun and laughing with his mates, looking like he is having a good time and looking more confident, he would definately become more approachable and appear more attractive. Girls will want to talk to a guy who is happy, having a great time - not someone hanging in the corner alone! I've found that it is mostly a guys personality that makes him attractive, be happy, be sweet, be yourself and Do NOT act seedy or over-confident. Go for friendly compliments not over the top pick-up lines. And SMILE =)

Girls are going to ignore the "ugly guy hanging in the corner" whether they are looking to guys with a good personality, or not.
If this "ugly guy hanging in the corner" had a great personality, he wouldn't be hanging in a corner now would he? He'd have a life. With friends and yadayadayada.. Normal things that a person with a wonderful personality would have.

It's both man. Girls want both. From my experience they will go for a decent looking guy if he has a great personality. It does have a lot to do with personality. But it is hard to date someone if you are not physically attracted to them. It's common sense, and I understand your anger with media trying to convince everyone that beauty is on the inside. Its both as far as female and male relationships go. but friend relationships it's on the inside.
However, I do agree to a point that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I have met girls who I didn't consider dating at first, but then I got to know them and really liked them as a person and truthfully they did appear a lot more attractive to me physically after that. My advice to you and all guys, is that you should shoot for girls in your league or a little out of your league, use common sense in who you think you have a chance with. If you look like a hillbilly with missing teeth and you are going for a girl that looks like Jessica Simpson you are probably not going to snag her.
Be confident too. I know you have herd this, but it does work.

I'm not sure if you are a Christian or not, but if you are read your bible everyday even if its for 15 minutes, grow closer to Jesus, He will really bring out who you are ment to be.
