Have you let any long time friends disappear slowly from your life? What happened? Any regrets?

I was recently thinking about some friends who I was close to at one point, yet I no longer talk to them now. Interesting how that goes sometimes.

Hey there Just Me, I haven't seen you in a while.

Yes, interesting isn't it? I've come to believe that it's just a part of life. Some people come and stay, some go, some linger in and out.

Regrets? Hmmm. Not really, because everything happens for a reason.

yes 100s

yep...sadly....i moved alot and therefore kinda lost contact with them...

Yes. However, as I get older, I realize that if they were really true friends, they wouldn't have been let go. If those friendships were really worth while then they or I would have made more of an effort. As with all types of relationships, friendships take effort, just like families and marriages.

Yeah. It usually is caused by them getting married or deeply committed to someone.

Yes. He used to like me - but I didn't reciprocate. So he got into a commited relationship with a common close friend of ours. Now he never talks to me.
I do regret it. The friendship I mean - we used to hang out ALL the time. We used to meet up every day, and end up on weird places, never planned anything - just kept moving on - finally reached some place - then we used to eat on those street carts , amazing times. We were such close friends, and now look at us - Its very sad.

I had a small group of really good friends I'd known since I was 5, we we're close all through primary school, then I had to move when high school started. I don't really keep in contact with them as much as I'd like, I regret not e-mailing them more over those years.

it is interesting how that tends to happen..

i have friends that i went to elementary with. there are about twenty of us that hang out, take vacations, go to concerts and so on. pretty tight net group.. BUT, with that, you get the DRAMA! and we do have drama lol

some friends have done it

Yeah, that happens sometimes. People change. A very close friend of mine is currently out of my life. I really miss him but he's dealing with a life-changing situation. All I can do is be here for him when he's ready to talk. I haven't closed the door on our friendship; he means too much to me.

Best wishes!

Career, business, family, children... but everyone has only 24hour each day... naturally friendship will most likely take the back seat. This has to do with priority too... which explained why some ppl after started work or gotten married gradualy lost touch with their friends. Ppl by nature are lazy and they simply can't find enough time to want to make that call or write that letter. In fact just b4 you posted your qtn I had this tot of writing my old friends greeting cards but then I realized I don't even remember where I kept their addresses... talking about losing touch.

I moved to another city and i lost all my friends... their part in my heart is still empty e-mails and phone calls where a lot only at the first year now they are totally strangers....
Sad but common...
Everything change so as some friendships...
