Have you ever been touched by kind words from a stranger?

Yes, a man that was walking by me on the street after my son passed away....He saw me crying outside of the funeral home, unable to go back inside. I did not want to look at him, or look him in the eyes, and he touched my shoulder and simply said, "He is in a better place, His love can keep you warm at night when you are sleeping, He will never leave you." He hugged me and walked away.
Who knows, maybe he was an Angel, but he was right. ~:0)

There was one instance when me and my friends were stranded and the Night Bus wouldnt let us on, and we had no money for a cab..a stranger went and gave us some money to get home! It wasnt really kind words, but it was really touching and sweet that a random guy would care so much to help us out.

yeah i posted up a blog on myspace and some random guy sent me a message it was so inspiring and sweet and he was not disrespectful, or creepy he basically just said keep your head up, have faith in your self and smile! make the best of what life has given you :) so SMILE!

Yeah, I was "touched" for 40 buck the other day from a guy with a hard luck story on the street corner. He wanted $10 to get some food. When I gave him a 50 and asked for change, he took off.

Once in Philly, a homeless man asked me for a ciggarette. I gave him one and I said, "I have to ask you, how do you feel about your situation?" and he looked at me and said, "How do you feel about yours?" "Is it really any different in the end? We make do with things we have and don't have, I just happen to not have a home one my own." He smiled at me, and thanked me for the ciggarette. I started tearing up right on the spot.

Yes...as a Veteran, whenever anyone tells me "Thank you for your service", it usually brings a tear to my eye...BTW, my thanks to all the men and women out there past and present who have served...

one night after a concert i played, a man came up to me and told me he had followed my music and drumming for years... told me i was an inspiration to him and that i changed his life.

Yes, several of my contacts make me feel so special. It always brings tears to my eyes. They really aren't strangers, just unseen friends.

yes i have. i dont remember exactly what they said but it did happen to me. Sometimes it can even come as a smile or a kind gesture of some sort.

Kind words from a stranger are always the best. You expect it from family, GF/BF or your friends, but when a stranger goes out of their way to say something nice to you, even if its just hi or thank you, it def puts an extra bounce in your step.

From an old man i see alot walking around (he is a WW2 war vet) and he saw me with a girl and saw me againt he same day without her and was like, wheres your girlfriend at!?
and i just laughed and said, she's not my girlfriend, im not sure about her yet.
and he said, "The day you realize who you truly are, you will realize who you truly love"

man that blew me away, like i flew twenty feet away.

yes the person told me i was a gentle man with perfect manners another stranger told me to not ever change and a notable professional in my industry told me he was looking forward to working with me and that i was an eagle that can surely fly high simple words really made an impact to my day

yes of course.. like this old lady.. i was walking down the road furious and crying.. i had a bad day with my bf and w. the pressure from school and the separation of my parents.. was really crying openly.. and all the people were staring at me.. and then this old lady approached me.. and then hugged me i was like oh, god! i needed this.. and then i cry hesterically.. i have never cried like that in my life esp to a stranger.. she was telling me, cry it out let it out, whatevers goin on w. your life.. fight it back don let it ruin you.. whatever u have now hold on to it and never let go.. i can never forget that day..

yes i have it was actually on y!a i was feeling down about my relationship and answered a love question about when i fell in love and i responded i fell months ago but now hes not here to catch me and he sent me the sweetest message that just brightened up my week!

they said that i have lovely kids and that they are raised well.cheers :)

At my Mothers funeral 23years ago, a lady I did'nt know came over to me after the service and told me that if I ever wanted to see my Mother, just to take a look in the mirror,and a look in my heart, I have never seen her before or since , but her words always stayed with me , it's given me a lot of comfort over the years, and ......yes,I am just exactly like my Mother now that I am the age that she was when she passed, in looks, deeds and thoughts.!

strangers from here who answered me if they say a supportive and a good thing or they impressed me with their kindness and compliments even they dont know me but i find sincere and from a good heart

Yes, once at my life back then when i was feeling quite depressed about my big failure to pass the university of my dream plus the constant pressure from my mom. I was wondering about my future. Then when i was in this bus there's an old man who sit next to me and keep looking at my face. When i looked at him he said that my face are resembling his youngest son back then at the village whom he hasn't meet for the past 3 years , then he told to smile cause his youngest son are always smiling back there. I smile and he suddenly laugh and tap my shoulder saying " you would become a great man some day kid" and then i had to parted with him not long after that. It somehow makes my heart feel lighter and although i still unable to become the great man that he say, i would love to actually do that kind of deed to another person who is in sorrow or depressed and lighten their heart even for a bit like that old guy did.
