How was it possible for me to become a full blown Alcoholic in only 3 or 4 years?

Doesn't it usually take like a decade or something?

I've been sober for a year and a half, but when I was in my late teens and early 20's, I went from an occasional drinker to an every day drinkiner. My life completely revolved around Alcohol within just a few years.

No it's an addiction(physical or psychological) and with any DRUG depends on the person. I myself am coming to terms with being Alcohol dependant and have many questions to find answers for.

I hope to deal with it and would appretiate any friendly contact as I hope you will

I know when I was in my teens and early early twenties my life revolved around drinking most of the time, as soon as i got off work i would go pick up my drinking buddies we would go get at least 2 40's each to start... and go from there to shots and do it all over the next day with out even a hangover!
When I was a teen I used to be able to drink like two and half 40's of 211 Steel reserve, uuugggghhhhhhhhhhh Im only 25 now but I sure cant even take sip of that crap now!
I dont drink as hard as I used to, maybe onces in a while when we all go out but other that I mostly dont drink like that any more , Now if I want a drink at home I drink wine, one glass or two =D is enough to get a nice little buzz relax and chill for the night.

It is a gift from above. Dont beat yourself up when you are sober, you probably get enough bruises from falling down.

No, I did not think that that was possible. You must be quite dedicated, as it took me over a decade to achieve that.

You can easily achieve that goal in 3 to 4 years. I think you can even do it in one if you try hard enough!

It has nothing to do with how much, when, or how often.

An alcoholic is a person that drinks to the point tht it causes problems in their life.

I can sign you up for AA if you'd like. Anger management too. I sign people up for those things on a daily basis. Orrrr, do you need psychiatric help? (um....not assuming anything here), I'll refer you !
