Who uses the word, "whom"?

makes me want to throw a punch, wern't they going to change that and make it not a word anymore?

i use that word, it depends on which tense you are talking in. it also sounds more proper. it should be a word, leave it alone, what has it done to you?

English teacher maybe. Who knows. I don't know anyone who does. Of course I'm in the South :) so I probably wouldn't.

Aww, you would hate me then. What if I said "whom" whilst jumping up and down topless? Would you still punch me? I dont believe it was supposed to be changed, whomever told you that was lying.

I use it when needed for proper grammar. Why take away word status for "whom"? What would be the purpose?

I use it in formal business writing when it is appropriate.

Hardly anyone, because it's difficult to use correctly. I believe it could only ever be used correctly in a passive sentence structure, as in "to whom would this seem like a normal way to speak" as opposed to "who talks like that?!" To whom where you planning to throw a punch?

As in "Whom I gonna give these cookies to?"

I use it often, though it does depend whom I am conversing with. I also use the word "whilst"...which greatly amuses some of my American friends!
