Why do people claim they aren't shallow yet they NEVER date ugly people?

I honstly think everyone is shallow and the world will end with bunch of shallow people

not dating "ugly" people isnt being "shallow".....

You must be one of the ugly ones.

But you have to keep in mind that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Someone may think somebody is totally hot who somebody else thinks is really ugly. I know that i've pointed out guys who I think are totally hott, but my friends say "huh???"

everyone is a little shallow, I don't know anyone that would honestly date a midget or a hunchback, do you?

You got to look at things rationally here. No one has enough time in their life to go around and properly get to know everyone in their town, or whatever. No one wants to be alone, not even you or you wouldn't have asked this question, so sub conciously people have to choose who they want to get to know better. The simplest way to do that is to go for the ones most attractive to the eye.

Alternatively it could be an inate act whereby it is animal instinct to have the most perfectly formed children, thus sub conciously you pick the most perfectly formed mate.

Alternatively it could be that some people just like to have a good looking partner so that they look good together.

I'm sure there are loads of reasons, and if you had an interest in human relationships you could probably do some sort of phd in it.

No I guess it's who you fall in love with. Which when you notice someone it's mostly for the looks. They catch your eye. But I don't think the whole world is shallow if so why are some people married to ugly looking peeps....
