What's wrong with Michael Moore?

I mean, I may be sounding a little naive, but from what I've seen, all he's done is tried to help people. I think his movies are great and I think America can be an even better country than it already is!

Seems to me the only people who have a problem with him are the rich and privileged. He may be against the war, but so what? Most people are nowadays.

I agree with you. His approach is somewhat heavy handed sometimes but he's doing society a favor by exposing the ways in which we're all being screwed by entrenched corruption in the U.S.
Most people are just too ignorant and/or brainwashed to recognize that. Hatred is always easier than having to actually think about something.

I don't hate him, but I don't understand why he makes so many anti-american comments. That's my issue with him.

I don't know why people get so up in arms about him either; at least he is just trying to help people. He doesn't just complain, he actually goes out and tries to change things.

And I don't know why people call him anti-American. He is anti-(current) administration, but he very much represents the people that need the most help..hardworking Americans.

Some of his ideas have a good basis. But others are totally flawed. So he in my mind is not a man to follow, but neither are a lot of people. Ignorance isn't my thing

I have no problem with him at all, so long as you remember he's a propagandist and not a journalist. He will manipulate information to espouse a particular point of view, rather than seek to get to objective truth.

He's fine, as long as you know what you're getting.

He hates America... he dogs America, and Americans. He twists the truth, spouts lies, and bends statistics.

As far as the war goes, he'll d~mn the rich white guys as the ones who are profiting off the war, but in fact he's made more money off his anti-American, anti-war on terror propaganda than almost any business, and he's a private citizen!!!!

So yeah... I hope he's done something with the money he's made to help someone....

Though he seems to forget that if it weren't for the country he loves to bash, he wouldn't have the right to the voice he has.

Chances are, that deep down, he knows exactly what the h~ll he's doing, sh~t he probably voted for Bush, and new d~mn well the money he'd be able to make off the controversy!!!!

Anyhow, it's also a misnomer these days that the rich and privileged are the conservatives in this country! (the people who would have a problem with him)

The richest political districts in the country are dominated by liberals!

Middle America is conservative! Blue collar conservative... the farmers, the factory workers.... these people are by and large conservative!!!!

....the richest and the wealthiest of democrats want to convince people of their socialist agenda's...

... it means more pork for them!

they want to convince people that they're socially conscious...

....yet history has proven over and over again that socialism comes at a price steepest to the people.....

My parents were both teachers... both liberal, both democrat, and I am absoluetly forbidden to talk politics in my dad's house... and you can see why!!!!

...and if I even think about thinking about Bush in his house he knows it.... The War, No child left behind... forget about it! Hates it all!

He loathes anything Republican... yet (and I can only say it here) He contradicts himself with his conservative ideals....

He cried to stop funding of the war ... even when my brother was serving over there!

I don't understand the liberal mind...

...but I served 8 years in the Army, I graduated from a conservative school, with a degree in Economics... so my mind is wired to see things different...

I agree that the only people who don't like him are those privileged few in power. He only wants to raise people's level of awareness about many of this administration's seemingly lack of concern for its constituents.

And don't ask me to name all of them, I can't. But the one that comes to mind the most is Katrina. For a storm to hit on Monday and the President not to visit until Thursday is a travesty. People were literally washed away while he enjoyed a vacation. What a shame.
