Why is there so many crank dat songs?

because they are trinna make money and aint gots nothing else to do

Because right now, everybody likes to dance. And most people love dances that actually have a choreographed routine that everyone can follow. If you think back over the last couple of years, mostly all of the songs (especially the popular ones) had dance steps to follow...i.e. lean wit it rock wit it (dem franchise boyz), walk it out & two step (d.j unk) and the ever so popular crank dat (soulja boy tellem). They are even bringing back some old songs and creating dances to do to the, like that Michale Jackson song They Don't Really Care About Us.

its just a trend once something becomes extremly popular all the up and coming "Rappers" are going to try to hop on it
