Best Rapper / R&B Living, Dead? - GIVE REASONS?

2Pac,
one of the world's legends in the 1990's. He was shot sadly after a Boxing Match. One bullet got his lungs, he was supposed to survive, but didn't. I think he was personally the best rapper from all-time, basically because he wasn't scared to speak his mind, like he said he was from the ghetto, and he just wanted to make a difference..

OMG..Can you tell I know almost EVERYTHING about him!!! I think he's the best hands down! If it weren't for Pac...alot of rappers 2day wouldn't even be here! He's influenced a lot of people's style. Some have straight up copied his whole style from his flow...down to the way he dressed! Those swagger jackers!!! ;) But 4 real....Pac's lyrics fit whatever mood I'm in...whether I'm down...and need somebody to tell me to Keep my head up.....Or when I'm headin to the club...I can put on some music 2 get me in a hyped up mood...like Gangsta Party...or California Love...just to name a few! His music is still perfect..even for today's society! It seems as if he's still around...rappin about what's goin on today! He was one of the realest artists out there! He spoke the truth and wasn't afraid to call anybody out who was against him, or tryin 2 keep him down!

I would agree that 2Pac is THE BEST! Not only do I admire his talent, but also the fact that he didn't care about the way he was perceived. Too many artists today curve their music to fit into the mainstream. 2PAC didn't care... he was going to speak his mind reagardless of what you or your mother thought about it.
That is why I admire Tech N9ne today! He doesn't have the perfect sex appeal image, or curve his music the way the mainstream would like. He speaks his mind, raps about his life, and changes nothing about he is for anybody. Tech doesn't care if he has 100,000 fans, or 1 million fans, but he is true to every one of them, and I respect that in an artist.

I don't agree. I'm not going to doubt his ability or his influence not only on Rap, but music in general, but he just wasn't my favorite. I didn't like his voice or his style. He did have a few songs I liked but thta was about it. I think the most talented are Talib Kweli and Mos Def. I'm a big fan of E-40, I like his style and what he has done for himself and his family, but I don't know if I could catogorize hime as the greatest. Certainly one of the best. Rap hasn't been around long enough for a true champion. There are earlier rap stars that are good, but I don't know if they stand up to todays stars.

I think that The Notorious B.I.G was an amazing rapper and so was 2Pac .. I also love people like Kanye West though because he's original .. Any of those three for me .. x

I liked 2pac, and I thought his lyrics were deep,he rapped from the soul, not just the brain, he spoke on real issues, and he spoke on the whack. However you roll it brother was real

in his short life he achieved more than many rappers who are still living past 30
not only did he rap good, but his poetry was awesome, many of his songs were from the heart so u could actually feel for him.
and hes in the best party track ever- california love =D
