What happen to all the talent in music as to the 70 and 80s?

Whats up with all these half nacked people poping up on all these songs that make no sence?

Every generaation has "their" music and the music that's out now is no different. The 70s and 80s music is still there, but alongside the music of the 2000s. In another 20 years, we'll have more different music. Music always reflects the values of its genre.

LMAO. Not all artists from today are doing that! But you're right some of these songs make no sense and there's so many one hit wonders it's ridiculous.

60's - early 90's was the shitt! I want that music back!!! There are a select few good ones nowadays, but very few, and get this, this is my generation!!!!! I'm 16 and hate all the mainstream bullshitt! I'm an old school junkie! Rap is fuuckin' terrible. The music has no meaning at all, like you said, it makes no fuuckin' sense!

Rap happened (and I like most Rap)! Nowadays most other genres have to imitate SOME element of Rap in order to stay afloat. But before Rap some gritty urban music was speaking through R&B (listen to Bobby Womack's "Across 110th Street). And, btw, you didn't go back far enough...the 50's and 60's had some SERIOUS music (too corny by today's standards, but great arrangements, story lines, composition)!! And remember that you couldn't see naked people before videos came in to play in the 80's and the Censors lost their minds!

You don't really have to have talent today. I don't even listen to radio anymore, I just play my "Old School", when you had word play, you knew what the songs were about, but it wasn't as explicit. As long as you can dance and are a little cute and got a catchy beat you can sell millions of records and our kids are listening to this junk. IE: Solja Boy. Parents beware you need to find out what some of these songs are really about before you let your kids listen to tham.
