How can i get started and what kind of equitment will i need to buy to become a DJ? And approximately how much money will i have to spend? well your going to need a lot of stuff, here it goes:
table to set your stuff on, 2 CD or regular turntable, a decent mixer, cases for your turntable and mixer (so they don't get damaged), couple of lights(that do some kind of effects), a pa system(speakers), couple of power strips, extension cord, extra aux/RCA cables(for you turntable and mixer, dosent hurt to have a back up), CD books(to carry all your CD/mp3 in), and of course your music.
your looking about spending 2500$. i know it sounds alot but you cant just get all at once, start buying little by little.
dj'ing is an expensive hobby, so make sure its something you really want to do, but if you do want to, man its a blast.

you can get all of the stuff mentioned above at www.music123.com you should buy a laptop for around $1000 and dj with a program called "atomix virtual dj" which is probly around 50 bux.. this program mixes different tracks together automatically.. a child could be a club dj with this program.. |
