How does music affect your emotions?

I tend to sympathize with songs that have kind lyrics and express love and tender feelings like "WALK AWAY RENEE"
by The Left Banke band from the 60s and 70s.music will have a particular affect on us according to our type of personality.I may sympathize with a particular song,but you may not.

I love music and I listen to music that relates to how I'm feeling at the moment. If I'm in a mellow mood, then mellow music it is. If I'm upset or angry, I don't have a specific type that I listen to but the volume is 10x's louder than it normally would be. If I'm in a lovey dovey mood then it's romantic songs. If I'm in the mood to dance or excercise then it's gotta have an upbeat temp to it. I generally listent to r'n'b, hip hop, old school but I also love retro, pop, today's hits. Music to me is wonderful.

So sometimes I listen to only Christian R&B or Holy HipHop,
but I love secular songs the best.

Actually it depends on the mood that i'm in . If i'm in a pissed mood i'll jam with some heavy metal or if i'm hurt i'll slow it down with some R& B it depends .
