In some songs i have heard background music where violins and other string instruments are played, but it is not traditional its more up beat and modern and they sounds like they are on amps or something. Then i heard it again while i was watching tripleX state of the union. In the movie it was more christmas music but still played the same way.
Does this type of music have a name?
What are some musicians that do this?
Where can i get it? Electric Light Orchestra but they are defunct.
Trans Siberian Orchestra but they play the classics with a modern twist. They're very popular at Christmas and you can see most of their works incorporated into home Christmas light displays on youtube.
