Why do BBC Radio1 play the same music over and over all day long every day? |
I'm forced to listen to Radio1 at work, I'v noticed that they keep repeating the same songs over and over again, sometimes twice within one hour, I'v even heard Chris Moyles say that he's only playing *insert song here* because he's contracted to play it and not because he likes it, I'nv also observed that they don't often play songs that A) Are older than 3 months old, and )B arn't in the top 40 chart the station as gone down hill that is why people tune in at different times, so say if they tune in for bout an hour n dont hear a popular song, they will wonder why :) Money from advertising and the record labels. I agree...Its quite annoying to hear the same music all day and every day...To be honest the songs that i like I'm beginning not to like as its getting on my nerves listening to it Too many times....Sort it out Radio one...Change ya Tune... :) my local radio stations are like that too. i drive for a living and its like they have 1CD that lasts 3 hours and then the songs are on again almost in the same order It's called playlisting. As a Day-long listener, you are an exception. This is because its the biggest UK station, therefore they are forced to play the most popular music at the time! Its only daytime though up till 7 after that theres lots of different generes |
