Starting Your Own AM Station? |
I happened to be watching a tv show on how some people hook up there christmas lights and use a shortwave transmitter for people to hear music that go with the lights. If you are transmitting low power(part 15) u do not need a license. Check out www.lpam.net. I'm starting a station. I built my transmitter from a kit. There's a rangemaster 1000 i think it's called for about $900. Yes you need a lic from the FCC. Wright is correct. Unlicensed low-power AM radio is governed by FCC Part 15 regulations in the USA. |
