The Nappy Roots? Where have they gone?

haven't heard from them in a while?

I just saw Nappy Roots last month at Lenny's in Atlanta, GA on Nov. 14th, 2007. They were GREAT live, and the new album "INTERSTATE MUSIC" is really really good. According to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nappy_roots... it was released on the internet, and part 2 will come out in Feb 2008.

"On July 31st, they released their first album as independent artists, Innerstate Music. This was actually an internet album, similar to a modern day mixtape. It was intended to be a precursor to their 2008 album, The Humdinger, which will be released February 2008."

Wow, I didn't think anyone even cared. I loved 'Watermelon, Chicken & Gritz', but was disappointed with 'Wooden Leather'. Anthony Hamilton went solo, and did alright, but I haven't heard about any of the others, or the band.

I haven't heard anything about them breaking up. They did become independent & left their last record company (Atlantic) & had an album out this year titled "Interstate Music". They're supposed to have another album coming out in 2008 titled "The Humdinger". Independent labels usually don't get as much airplay but you can always here it on sattelite radio neo-soul type stations.
