Are todays hip hop or rap artists leaving a good or bad impact on hip hop music? |
with all the music directed to the clubs and streets of the deep dirty south. Is it posible that true hop hop artists are fading out because if raps new some what brain wash like sound?.. it makes you wonder when you happen to find an artists that makes you rewind a song 10 times just to get the message hidden with in the grimmy snares, and pulse like kick drums that give you a rush. like lupe, the game, or the dirtys vary own, the great lil wayne. dont get me wrong there are many great rappers out here!... but we forget about great artists like d4l, ying yang twins ect... who bring nothing to hip hop and rap music that will be remembered!... so now the question is, who do we blame on todays hip hop on impact on amarica?... the shity record labels that push artists to be what they are not!.. im new so i thought i would give you all something to think about... get @ me. I say BAD!!! They are changing ppls views of what "real" rap and hip hop sounds like!! depends what they are...if they are some kinda wack industry musician, it's not good... If its ghetto, you must forgetto. There are some great rappers out there and some who need to just sit down and relearn the craft. A lot of what I listen to is positive. I do like Nas, Biggie, Eve, Queen Latifah (before she did the r&b chick thing) Mc Lyte. I don't listen to a lot of the newer artists simply because I don't like what the song is talking about. Rap and/or Hip Hop is not anything like it was in the early 1990s. In my opinion, a lot of the newer rappers talk about the same issues over and over again. Can they not think of something else to rap about? Do they all have to say the same thing? What good is releasing a single where the radio dj's have to edit every other word? Can you imagine if all artists were like that? We would be listening to the "bleep" sound more than the actual music. I think many of these younger artists need to find something different to talk about besides going clubbing and hooking up with ho's. Hmmm... This whole thing was EXTREMELY confusing. Your choice of words, sucked. I'm not trying to be mean or anything but I really couldn't grasp what you were trying to say. What I think is the main problem with todays hip hop is that the difference between now and before is that middle white american kids liscen to rap. These days, songs like Walk it Out(not even catchy, like club songs are like) and Crank That are popular. That's just sad. Good and bad good b/c luda and mary got run away love that good but bad is rapper talking about doing drugs b/c rappers have a big part of peoples lives doesnt matter.... if they kill the industry then all the better... hiphop as a culture will survive and we get to start over without the industry bullsh** |
