I have many doubts about this but actually invented Rap Music?

many claim the know who the first rapper was but i just think this is best time to get an overall view of who invented Rap Music

I have a guess that it may be Grandmaster Flash

It started when the DJs used to shout stuff over their records - they began by just giving shout outs to people, but started trying to make it catchier by coming up with rhymes. People noticed that the crowd loved it and soon there were people taking to the mic for themselves. Rap evolved from there. So in a sense, Kool Herc started it off as he was one of the first ever hip hop DJs, and the one who took the break beat to a whole new level.
As far as the first actual rapper goes, I think the first known one was Afrika Bambaataa, or Grandmaster Flash.

Blondie accualy had the first rap song. It's called Rapture. So Basically She started rap.

NO ONE PERSON INVENTED HIP-HOP!!!! Hip-Hop EVOLVED from the culture. in the 20's and 30's Be-bop. The 50's and 60's scat, 60's and 70's James Brown, Gil Scott-Heron, Last Poets. Listening to this Cool Herc began Looping music taking out the words then allowing others to say words over it, Flash's "mistake" that brought about scratching. You can't point to ONE PERSON/GROUP that hip-hop bore out of. Culture doesn't start with a person. Its a feeling, a movement, a way of life. No one person can take credit for that, they just add to it. Put their mark on it. At the same time people on the east coast were doing it, people on the west coast were doing it and people in the south was doing it and people in the midwest were doing it.

Oh and John W: the first Hip-Hop record credited was the Fat Back Band's King Tim III. The Blondie joint was the first MTV/Mainstream record.
