Does anybody else attention to the sound of drum kits when they listen to beats?

thats why i dont like a lot of the production out of the south, cuz they all use the same drums. ... the same wack drums.

They use that repetative rolling hi hat or snare...Then they add the old synthesizer and 808.But I guess its the majority sound of the south...It pretty much makes the beats sound similar...Something like the stuff that Lil Jon puts out. The only cat that does something different is prolly Dupri and the Dungeon Cats...I'll even say Mannie Fresh and most of all Ninth Wonder.

Most northeast producers chop drums...Its that fruity loops ish that takes away the producers need to be more creative...I think thats why the beats are so simple ...No diggin involved...Not saying that all cats that use software arent nice...Cuz 9th is crazy with the Loops and Big Boi is nice with the computer too...but you have over night cats make ish like and then everybody is like" thats easy I can do that". Im figuring thats the reason the beats are all sounding a like.

yeah. I notice the kits. And yeah, in the south, the drums usually aren't very original sounding.

I like Top Billin' kind of instrumentals. Besides Dre, J Dilla, Kanye West, and a few producers from the West, South, or Midwest, most greaat producers are from the East Coast (mostly New York).

Lol...thats funny....Well since they all use the same drum kit so what would u expect....

Timbo is the only cat who has super dope drums...IMO....otheres have aight drums...9th suck because they are the same all the time.....samples rock...drums are lazy....

why hate on the south?
