What do you think changed in RAP MUSIC?

What do you think changed in RAP MUSIC?

Do you want some sound input? Here we go.

I think rap is just taking the "rebel" torch and is running with it as far as they can go, which is being gangsta and breaking all laws verbally. Now everyone is a dope dealer. Inside it is really the desire to be outside the system we are thrown into. Bigger money now, so we had to make the subjects deal on larger scales, so now everyone claims to be a boss of a cartel.

Also...

I think the industry saw acts such as NWA and Scarface, Pac and noticed the audience liked being fearful of the artists they loved. over 70% of rap is purchased by white people. Period.

White people want gangster ****, so the industry went through a gangsta movement. Choosing only the most gangster of new artists, encouraging the genre as a whole to "step up to the plate" of law breaking and thug mentality. I believe it will move on soon, while holding onto the G mentality.

Whoever is saying "bad grammar" and all that trying to discredit rap is looking foolish right now because language is SOCIALIZED. There isn't one group who determines what a large population knows and understands as "good" language. You probably walk around saying "that's cool" and think that it's been in the books since medieval times. Well guess what. What is today's slang, is tomorrows literature, so deal with it.

Black people continue to write the history of America on the burden of oppression.

It's lost it's violence..it aint real now

product endorsements and the resulting influx of money.

furthermore, "rap" today talks about things i can't relate to

It became boring and commercial, whereas before it was underground and cutting edge.

idk to me is good to way is now

Rap has become all about the money thee bling and the bitches.Rappers have gone as far as making their **** sound bubbly and sound almost like pop just to sell records. They get a funny chorus sing along to a funky beat and some even a weird dance and poof you got a platinum album or 1# single.
And whats worse they getting paid big money for it.

But............

People are just hating man cause they getting paid , fine it has changed a bit thats how its is things change your R&B,House,Rock even Gospel have changed some for better some for worse.Personally I like change I enjoy some old school but not everything done back then was classic and there is rap today that is tight. You can't say
all the rappers of today suck you know lying, probably bumping their stuff right this moment.Think of it this way 30-40 years from know rap will probably be totally different from now and the rappers and fans of today will be feeling just the way you do now.

In the end Niggas are just tryin to get paid man thats all its about ,the money. In sports, music, movies, fashion technology its all the same

You can't spell CRAP without RAP.
Sorry, but it's true. Old school stuff is good, nowadays, it's awful, tasteless....and full of improper grammar.
