How do you think the hip hop industry would be different if it was owned by, or had more black CEOs?

Hmm good question. It DOESNT depend on the race of the CEO, it depends on the person.

I listen to hip-hop, rock, country, emo..basically it all. However I do have to say that hip-hop done by PLENTY of wide known artist is mostly written about 'having sex with hoes', and 'making money', its sad too.

Jay Z is doin fine with his label and Master P sold MILLIONS while helping to ruin rap music by giving an album deal to anyone tha came along even if they sucked giant hot dog. It doesn't matter white or black or Jews or what. Being a CEO comes down to the work you put in,not your color. We need somebody with talent that actually cares about bringing rap back because at this rate it's not gonna make it. Too many out there with ZERO talent.

I think the industry would collapse because...Caucasians typically have better business minds. Latest studies have proved that, statistically speaking, Caucasians have higher I.Q.'s than nonwhites. This is not a racist comment...it's just fact.

hardly any white CEO's are in the hip hop industry..u are mistaken my friend. Blacks/non-whites are already on top of that game, so it wont change a thing

I think it would work because you would have the balance in the music restored. Like the way music use to be back in the 80's, We need the characters in the music to make a comeback, (i.e- Humpty hump). We need the rappers who know how to dance ( MC Hammer), and all of the socially conscience recording artist need to make a resurgence.

Because it's partly the industries fault that we don't hear that kind of music anymore. Making good music or rapping was never truly about who has the most record sales. It was about bring change to a society that was in turmoil, and uplifting the people who lived in that environment to aspire to be better.

So to answer your question I say yeah it's time the music industry had a black owner. The quality of music would change dramatically for the better.

Perhaps the black CEO's would stop skimming off the top of record sales and artists could actually make what they deserve. Or perhaps it would get worse?

It would be the same. It's all about the paper. Black, White Green, it doesn't matter. I think it's more of a moral and ethic issue than race. That would change the game drastically.
