Biggest Loser: How many days or weeks elapse from when the finalists go home and the finale?

In Biggest Loser season 3 and/or season 4... the four finalists go home in the next to last episode. Then they come back for the finale, and they've lost even more weight.

How much time did they have? A few weeks? months?

In season 3, one finalist came back 5 months pregnant. So how did that happen? Did 5 months elapse from the time the finalists went home to the finale?
