America's Next Top Model: What are some changes that need to made for this show to survive?

Anyone who watches ANTM regularly can obviously see how much the show has dived in cycle 9. The girls were boring, the photoshoots were typical and it was obvious that it's all about what Tyra wants in the end.

Let's talk about the changes that need to be need starting cycle 10 and beyond to keep this show alive.

I've got some suggestions.

1 - Instead of 13 girls, keep it at 10 like cycle 1. 3 girls are never worth it anyway so only have the best of the best in there.

2 - Don't have an immediate elimination. For three episodes the girls should be trained on walking, talking, posing, dressing, and makeovers. The focus should be on bringing out the best qualities in each girl to give everyone a fair chance.

3) Miss Jay should no longer be a judge - Mr. Jay Manual should have a permanent spot in the judging panel since he deals with the girls every photoshoot.

4) I'm glad Twiggy is leaving, much as I liked her - I'm hoping Paulina will bring a new flair to the judging panel and better criticques instead of just "the camera loves you."

5) No more overweight girls, no more sob stories, no more girls with diseases. Tyra needs to focus on picking the best models all around - not the girl she wants to be the best.

6) No more constant repetition of judges names and prizes during the panel - it wastes valuable time that could be used to instead give the girls impromptu challenges to see how much true talent they have.

7) The over elaborate photoshoots are not necessary - I think some basic photography should be taken to start and then gradually have a few fun shoots, but keep it more simple and basic.

8) Tyra should spend one weekend with the girls in the house.

9) In judging, the girls' best and worst shots should both be featured to show what they are doing right, and what they each need to work on to give them a sense of better direction.

10) The primary focus of the show should be on the photoshoots - not the girls bickering or what they do in the house. And less time should be given to the girls' "thoughts" along the way. Again, focus on the modeling competition.

i think they should have male contestant in the competition,.

No more tears and crap...seems a lot of the time everyone who cries makes it on or gives some b/s story about hurricane katrina, being a stripper, having a problem, being plus size etc... Not saying I dont care but I thought this was a modeling competition not make your way by getting pity!

Twiggy and Miss. Jay gotta go, Twiggy has like 3 basic lines she says when she sees the photo then...nothing else! Miss. Jay is runway! Bring him in when teaching the girls to walk or at the end fashion show finale!

This finale was rushed, they compared like 3 photos of past photoshoots, normal they compare them all or at least a good chunk of the photoshoots the girls have done! They showed the smoking effects one, the "gargoule" (sp?) one and the one "scaling the wall". What happend to the other 7 shoots???

Get better girls on there, perhaps most with expirience so they arent coming in there knowing nothing about modeling, runway or the industry itself!

You kno what I would love to see happen? Take all the winners from Cycles 1-9 and see who TRUELY is America's Next Top Model..now that would be quite a cool thing to see IMO :-)
