MTV, do you hate it?

I'm not particularly fond of it. I'm slightly repulsed by The Hills show and definitly "Next." Its oddly fake, but I every now and then I catch myself watching a season of Real World...do believe 2 of the people left already??! :)

I'm going to show my age here.

MTV was good when they actually had MUSIC VIDEOS! It was MTV back in the 80's that made Madonna, Duran Duran, Culture Club, to name a few..household names. MTV also had VJ's - video jockeys (Nina Blackwood, Mark Goodman, Alan Hunter, J. J. Jackson and Martha Quinn) that appeared in between videos talking about music info and introducing the next videos.

I don't know why they still insist on calling the network MTV since the music part is virtually GONE in favor of all of these reality shows glamorizing spoiled rich girls who do NOTHING but just "look pretty" and get themselves in dumb situations "The Hills" or EXTREMELY obnoxious college kids getting into goofier situations - "The Real World". At least when "The Real World" first aired...it was actually rather gritty.

Even though I am 41, I am into all of the music trends of today, though I favor dance music. I do realize MTV is meant to be for teens to the late 20's. But seriously...where is the MUSIC????

although I do like MTV it is not the same as it used to be. Music Television it is not. I miss the Headbangers

yes i do i hate all the stupid shows on there besides rob and big and rons house i cant stand those stupid shows like the hills launga beach and all that other stupid crap and there never any music vidoes on it any more and trl sucks they play a whole 2 seconds of a song

sometime's but i like to see my super sweet 16 and TRL but the one's i hate is next and a shot at love with tila tequil .

MTV OR BET. they both suck. First of all, mtv needs to change its name or it was be sued in the future. I have never seen a video on there for the past 2 years and clips when the shows over doesnt count. BET.. omg, dont get me started on that channel;blatantly broadcasting ignorance all day...
