How on earth did Leon win X-Factor?

He sings as flat as a pancake!!!!!!!!!

I am so gutted that Rhydian didn't win! Whatever you think of him his voice is tremendous and he's full of talent and charisma!

Leon just doesn't have 'it'!

Rhydian should have won because
1. he is an amazing singer
2. is a raw talent
3. he can sing in tune!
4. is different to anyone else
5......need i go on!!

Rhydian was amazing, it was impossible for him not to win. But what ever happens he will still get more record deals and go further than Leon.

I agree. Rhydian should have won, not because he was the best singer but because he was 'different' and his voice wasn't that bad either. The two representing England were awful!

Because the show encouraged the Nation vote thing rather than talent!

Leon has NOT got the X Factor in my opinion. He 'hunches' when singing and can't talk like a 'super star' should be able to.

He was 'Javined.' - The most promising prospect beaten at the last hurdle leaving him free to sign elsewhere, instead of being tied to the show's 拢1m contract.

Well he had the Scottish vote for a start so that would go a long way towards him winning & also the x factor is a complete fix & always has been.
The sooner it's off our screens the better.(its nice to dream anyway isn't it)

Rhydian to me was by far the better singer/performer.

I was so angry and disappointed with the result, Yeah, Leon has improved, but Rhydian has been good everyweek...Remember how awful Leon was in the start? Rhydian has always been brilliant, and he even managed to sing 'Go West' and 'Get the party started' without making a disaster of them.

Welll...I guess the pre-teens had there phones on redial all night yesterday. :(

cause he came across as a nice lad with no singing training, just a normal lad workin in 9-5 job, someone like that deserves to win, rhydian and same difference have had training in performing arts previously

sorry but he won it coz he does have the x factor,rhydian can sing but leon is so much better,id have been peed of if one of the others had won it

i tried ALL EVENING to vote for Rhydian. first the lines were constantly engaged then the tone was just a long bleep.
i thought i was miss dialling but it was defiantly the number they were showing on the screen. after this years fiasco, SO many talents going out TOO early, i makes me wonder how legit it's been??!!!

leon cant sing, has no charisma, nothing special about his voice and I for one, wont be buying his CD

I don't understand who was voting for Leon and WHY? He really isn't a good singer and although he is humble, sweet and ok looking he has zero charm or x-factor (surely he needs to be coached to improve his monotone voice during interviews?).
I only rated maybe one or two of Leon's perfomances throughout the competition. I suspect it may have been Ryhdian haters and a big Scottish vote that got him the prize!

Quite simple. It was the 'sob factor'. Leon has all the sympathy, he's young, cute, has a poorish background etc. The fact he sings half his songs off key and can't manage the range of notes doesn't matter. Rhydian, conversely has a good background, loving big family, and his voice is superb. His tonal range is amazing, he never hit a wrong note. The great British public strike again, vote for the underdog.

the duet with kylie helped him,people voted for her. couldn,t believe how the panel and even dermot seemed to want leon to win. danni should have been impartial but was obvious who she preferred .wonder where leon will be this time next year ?

I agree. The only consolation is that by 6 months time Leon will be a memory whereas Rhydian will be going from strength to strength.

Rhydian didn't need to win the Xfactor in order to have a career after it finished.

Leon did need to win to have a career.

I thought Leon's performances last night were excellent. His third song in particular was fantastic. He finally looked comfortable on stage and sang with much feeling.

And Leon sang the winner's song much better than Rhydian did. I don't think the song suited Rhydian's style or voice as well as it did Leon's.

I think the best person won - the best person for the record company that is!

But lets be real about this The X-Factor, Strictly Come Dancing etc aren't talent shows, they are popularity contests. Leon was a humble, young boy who was desperate to win because he wanted to better himself. Rhydian technically had the better voice, but he came over as arrogant and egotistical (more so at the beginning) and therefore the public didn't really warm to him all that much.

Poor Leon didn't have the best talent and he didn't have any stage presence but he is much more marketable to the British public.

Rhydian should of walked X Factor last night. I tried for ages and could not get through on Rhydian's voting line. It was definitely fixed.
