Did Matchbox 20 sell out with their last album?

Its not because they got popular its because they changed their music. If they would of just came out with new songs that people liked it would be ok but thier songs are more punk then they used to be especially How Far We Come.

Matchbox 20 is a band that has sought mainstream appeal from the first moment. They have been on a major label (Atlantic) their entire career. They have not taken any sort of anti-corporate stance. Rob Thomas has had a song on "Grey's Anatomy." So it's really not possible for them to further "sell out."

Sure, why not

i personally like How Far We've Come ... but I totally agree with you ... its not because they got popular at all ...

I guess

Matchbox 20 was never punk.

I think that they have just evolved a little. they haven't done anything for a long time and they may have a came back with new ideas. Bands some times need to change not just for the listener but also for themselves. if you listen to all of thier albums there are differences between all of them and this album is just the next step.
