Are you a fan of DIO?

Do you know where I can find the studio version of the song 'KING OF ROCK AND ROLL'? I tried several cd's but they are all live versions, or maybe you have the 'DIO: the Collection' cd. Anyway, please let me know, thanks

I'm a HUGE Dio fan from way back in the early-80's (yes, I'm old now). I have Dio bootlegs, imports, and 'B'-sides and I have never run across a studio version of "King of Rock-n-Roll'.

It is the first song off of the "Sacred Heart" album and it was HIGHLY unusual to lead-off a studio album with a live song....but that's Dio.

Bottom Line: I don't think a version exists.

I hate Dio. I always have and always will. But if you go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dio you can read about everything he ever recorded. If their is a studio version, I bet you can track it down with Wikipedia.
So, is Dio an Elvis fan? The King of Rock and Roll.

I hate to add on to the pile of answers but you should be sure so you don't waste anymore time looking. The original version is the " live " version from the Sacred Heart cd. Unfortuantely it is true that there is no other version of the song.

No idea about your question, but i do have a interesting fact about Dio. I went to college in Cortland, NY, which is Ronnie James Dio's hometown. There is a street named "Dio Way" in the city, but sadly, there are no houses on it. That would be pretty cool to have "Dio Way" as your mailing address. He comes back to visit friends and family and it is pretty funny seeing him hangout with all the crusty old farts that he went to high school with.
