I'm looking for a album and everyone is telling me it's on bootleg but where can I find them? Thanks! Usually EBay or other auction sites. You can also google "bootlegs" for specific websites/dealers. Swap meets are another place. Maybe try ebay they seem to sell everything on there this is the internet, download it and burn it just like the guy who bootlegged it, go to soul seek get it for free! singapore Damn, girl, why BUY them when you can just download them for free???!!!!
First off, if it's a fairly common bootleg, a site like Torrentz.com or TorrentSpy.com would be a good place to start. No membership fees, nothing! And the stuff on those sites can usually be found in mp3 format (and if not, it's easy enough to download a free converter.) As long as you have a torrent downloader like Azureus on you're computer, you're in like Flynn, bo. If not, it's easy enough to get, won't cost you a dime.
If it's a bit harder to come by, or particularly if it's live, these two would be your best bet: TheTradersDen.org or Tapecity.org. You have to sign up, mind you, but it's free. Fair warning, though: they do NOT suffer fools gladly at either site, don't even MENTION mp3 (but like I said, you can do what I do and convert 'em once you've downloaded them) and make damn sure you give what you get back (simply by seeding the torrent for a few days once you've finished downloading it.)
(Hell, as far as that goes, I've got quite the collection, meself... drop me a line and I can certainly point you in the right direction...for all we I know, may even have the album you're looking for!)
The thing with buying bootlegs is, one, they are usually expensive as hell. Two, they're bootlegs, which means they will not necessarily be studio or 'official live album' quality. If the term "Caveat Emptor" -let the buyer beware- applies to anything, it certainly applies to bootleg music. Trust me. I know these things...I've found out the hard way a few times... |
