What do you think of punk rock?

Is it just plain rotten? Or just schoolboy twanging rubbish? Or rebel rouser stuff? Or a pernicious anti-creativity and stifling blockhead trivia?

punk and rock it doesnt mean bad . It's some kinda way if you're angry or mad . You dressed punk for making yourself happy and comfortable . When you're good in the mood , instead of punk dressed casual Report It

I think I love it. But none of this new stuff, or rather, just punk from 1970's to mid 80's American hardcore. That's the best.

Punk rock has stood the test of time & still has something to say. Original punkers like the Rolling Stones & The Who still draw large crowds. Punkers like the Sex Pistols & The Ramones are suddenly the elder statesmen of punk. You still hear the influence of punk on today's rock/metal music.

Whatever you think of punk rock, it is here to stay.

Love it. I think when it's done right, it can still be a revitalizing, refreshing genre of rock. Spontaneous & fun! They prove that there's no real need to be a polished player to make great rock. Often the best stuff can come from the heart & gut.

& this is coming from a classic rocker who loves prog rock! :)

I agree with infinity... no one knows what real punk rock is, all your **** is pop. Actually if I had to pick an artist I think captures Punk rock more than anyone else out there lately I'd say Chevelle. theyve managed to keep the "rock" in punk rock (at least their first couple albums did)

Punk is very basic rock music. face it once a person learns how to play an instrument decently, they are no longer "punk". They're just too polished.

i LOVE emo musicm, thats kinda like punk rock so i guess i sorta like punk rock. But Punk rock does have some good bands like Fall Out Boy, and Green Day. But i think you should try it you to c if u like it if u do, then you'll probably like emo and goth music, like MCR, 30 seconds 2 mars, Hawthorne Heights, Evanescence, Death Cab for cutie, Wthin Temptation, Grils like Boys, etc.
