How have your music interests changed?

I used to like pop, but now i like metal/rock, stuff like that. How have your interests changed?

Only to add more artists and genres......I still love my 70s and 80s, though.

Uh, I used to like a whole lot of stuff, but now it's not so much. Everything sounds the same now.

I never liked music before. Until I heard Linkin Park, now my favorite is rock and only rock.

So its Not liking music to liking music. I like a tiny bit rap. (the kind that is not about drugs, sex, women, gangs, money, etc)

My favorite band... used to be Good Charlotte.
Now it's Walls Of Jericho, Chiodos... stuff like that =).

Mine changes with age, time of year, and mood. But I have to say that 99% of music that has been made in the past few years really does kinda stink...

I used to like 80's and 90's punk and pop punk. Now I like Hardcore/Metalcore/Death Metal. I still like what I used to like, I just don't listen to it as much.

Broadened from rock to rootsy country, always have loved blues, started listening to rock en Espa帽ol in the late 1990s and found it to be far more creative than American/Brit Rock.

Have discovered exciting stuff like vallenatos by Juanes and his friend Carlos Vives. Not rock, but it sure rocks!

Still love hard rock. When I hear the bell for AC/DC's "Hell's Bells" I still get chills.

I used to only listen to C&W, then pop, now I listen to all sorts of R&B, oldies, comtemporary christian, gospel, and instrumentals!

I gave up on newer music, or at least the stuff they play on radio. It all just sounds like a bunch of spoiled punks.
I've gone back to old hippie music, Spooky Tooth, Humble Pie, Grand Funk, Allman Bros., Jethro Tull, etc.

i use to like alot pop a little hip hop and rap but now i hate most rap,hip hop,pop,etc im into rock,older rock. im a HUGE beatles fan but ive always been a beatles fan ever since i was very little. i like acoustic,etc more relaxing meaningful music now

I use to only listen to hip hop & R&B but now I listen to Pop a lot especially artists like John Mayer and Jimmy Eat World.

When I was really little all I would listen to was Bruce Springsteen. Then I started listening to like Britney Spears, P!nk, etc. I got over that pretty quick though. I still love Bruce Springsteen a lot, but not as much.

I liked spanish music but now im to that rap and like the bass in the back of my car

I used to only listen to country growing up, then it changed to rap/pop, then to only rock. and now i listen to just about everything :]

i used to love Rap and Hip-Hop, but now I despise it, I think it is a disgrace, but either way, I listen to it, but only do to the fact that some of the songs are actually worth it, but now just like you, I am into Metal/Rock and some country.
The band that got me into the whole rock scene is Linkin Park.

i have always keept my ground, to change would make me feel like a hypocrite.

It's constantly changing. I listen to so many genres of music that I'll get into a Metal kick for a while and onto Jazz (into some new Fusion Jazz atm), Blues, Blue Grass & Folk, Reggae (that was last week), 80's Alternative & Power Pop on and on, back and forth. It keeps it interesting!

I use to like hip-hop/rap, now I like Punk Rock.

I loved Pop until my early teens. I adored all those 90s boy bands,spice girls etc.

Then i had a Rap/Hip-Hop phase. I listened to Pop and very little Rock, but mostly Hip-Hop.

/Then/ although i still listened to /some/ R&HH, Rock took up the majority of my music time.

/Then/ R&HH more or less phased out and Rock was what i listened to most. At first it was just Hard Rock, like Guns N' Roses [my favourite band], but then i began to branch out and i discovered the many glorious subgenres of Rock. Gothic Rock, Punk rock etc..

Throughout all of this, i listened to Classical music. Blondie was one of my favourite bands [still is]. And I liked 80s pop like Duran Duran and Madonna [still do].

A weird little journey, I know.
I do still embrace some of the music i used to listen to. I love my cheesy boybands [like Nsync] lol, and I still really like 50 Cent's Get Rich or Die Tryin' album [-waits for thumbs down-]. But most of it just doesn't appeal to me anymore.
I find Rock to be richer in meaning and variety. I love it.

i used to like the jonas bros and stuff like that but i have moved on tho alternitve music and some rock like i now love The Used

changed big time over the years....
pre-teen/early teens----kiss, motley crue, bon jovi and yes metallica

late teen-early 20's----TOOL!!, still metallica and similar hard stuff
mid twenties to present(age 31)--- indi scene---modest mouse(my favorite), rogue wave, shout out louds, okkervil river...although tool and metallica are still in my heart i just dont listen to'em as much..

i guess it changed based on what i was doing in my life at the time: teens and twenties i was a hard partier so my music reflected it...now that i'm a bit oldewr i can relate to modest mouse much better

I used to like mainly metal and then I got into Goth, punk, and psychedelic music. It has changed over the years and I am glad
