Does anyone know about the rumored Beatles Reunion in 1976, if so are there any sound files of it?

As others said, Lorne Michaels had a standing offer of $3,000 for a reunion on SNL. It became a gag as well as a serious offer. He said it was $750.00 each, but they could pay Ringo less if they wanted to and split the difference.

I looked at your link-seems like a crock to me. If they had decided to record in a for hire studio, rather than in a home studio, which several of them had in 1976, I doubt they would have done it under those circumstances. Why would they use one of the studio's engineers? The Beatles and George Martin virtually invented modern recording techniques-they would have had no need for an engineer. Furthermore, they were quite capable of renting a studio anonymously and excluding any outsiders. If this were true, the secret would have been leaked by one of the key Beatles "insiders", not some hack trying to scam people.

There was no reunion as Beatles per se.

i don't know of any full band reunion, but lorne michaels from saturday night live called for any of the beatles to come and perform on the show and it is said that john and paul were hanging together watching the show. they were considering doing it, then who knows what happened? the vh1 movie "two of us" shows a depiction of what may have happened that day in almost great history.
