Digital 8-tracks(multitrack recorders)?

Are they good enough quality to make an album or my own c.d. with?What kind of quality can i expect?

It kind of depends on the mics, effects, and other goodies you have. You can get pretty decent recordings out of them. But if you have the money I would go with a simple Pro Tools set up like th M-Box or M-Box2.
