What is your favorite band who makes great music but looks like a bunch of a***oles?
I'm going to contribute the mighty Rancid. Some people tend to get them mixed up with the whole pop-punk scene, but that would be incoorect, although they can deliver a catchy tune. Great band with great punk guitars with jumpy ska beats (much more akin to something by the Clash or Stiff Little Fingers or the Ruts than what we think of as ska/punk now, Less Than Jake and their ilk) that never fails to satisfy. But by god did they buy into the whole stereotypical 80's hardcore punk/Exploited worshipping PUNX RAWKERS image. It's an extreme put off. But I don't let it bother me.
Anyone else? SJG - Maynard faces it sometimes. he just stands in the back, not completely in spotlight. it adds a LOT to the scene, its great.
and im not too fond of how Chris Martin of Coldplay hops on one foot when playing acoustic.
or when Muse trashes the set. rancid is awesome U2. I'm still wondering whether it's the music or Bono people don't like. The others aren't really bad, but Bono is a damn asshole and a piece of crap. Tool... Maynard won't face the crowd during his set...it sucks. Slipknot..
What's with the masks? Same with TISM, an Australian band from Melbourne, who wear balaclavas. They have often crowd surfed to have all clothes apart form the balaclava removed or torn to pieces.

I just hate clowns so they do I know what you are saying about Rancid. Tim got really punk looking after Op Ivy. But he is starting to tone it down again:
