Who is short, and do you like rock concerts? |
Standing in my size 12 shoes, only 5'10-1/2'' tall, I can always see the rock and roll concert before I start the second half of my job, taking the equipment off the stage. Maybe because I usually stand near the back, I'm not there for the show, I'm just waiting for it to end so I can go to work. I'm 5'1-1/2" and concerts are incredibly hard for me. I like the ones where there is order and everyone sits down for the show because then I can sit on my knees and see perfectly. When I went to a Def Leppard concert, we got there really early and our seats were wonderful. Then a bunch of "tallies" showed up and ruined things for me. I ended up finding a hole and pushing through near the end, but those darned tall people kept me on my toes practically the whole show. who wouldn't? I'm 5'1" and back in the day I loved going to concerts. I've always been short and its never bothered me. I can push my way to the front pretty easy. I even broke a rib in a mosh pit at a Metallica concert....but that was long ago:) Well, I don't consider myself short (I'm 5'7), but when I'm surrounded by a crowd of guys, it definitely feels like I'm a midget. It doesn't always happen, but it sucks when it does, especially if they are so much taller than you that their arms are continually knocking you in the face and giving you a headache. Unfortunately, I've seen alot of short people at shows have much worse views than I do (well, if you call someone's back a view!) and I wonder the same thing. Then again, I've also seen alot of them somehow squirm their way up to the barricade. You gotta give them respect for that. I'm 5'4 and I just get up to the front, I never had a problem... Hey there...all my family were stagehands for IATSE so I never got pissed cause I never paid plus I would run down to the front and across chairs and find a spot where I could see from. Never had a problem with it and I'm 5ft 2 in I'm 5ft and go to rock concerts. Sometimes its get annoying when i can't see the show. I usually make my way to the front. 5' 7"...used to go to live shows for the vibe....then I got jumped at GWAR and a b-tch broke my knee...I joined a band and only go to shows that I'm giving...I won't get jumped while I'm on stage...that's me... if you get beat down in the crowd, get on stage. I'm 5'10"-5'11". At live shows I always ask the person behind me (if they're short) if they can see. If they can't see, I move over a bit. im 6' 5" so i dont have this problem but i tend to piss off the people behind me I'm only 5 foot. |
