I need more to listen to. I listen to music from the 60s-80's (stuff like the Beatles, Bon Jovi, the Doors etc)all the time but you can name new stuff if you want. (no Fall Out Boy, please!) As a Beatles fan, if you haven't already, you Must hear:
Badfinger
The Raspberries
Big Star
Jellyfish
Klaatu
ELO
All are very 'Beatle-esque' in sound. Iron Maiden
Guns N Roses
Pantera
Nightwish Silverstein, Rise Against, Mayday Parade, and Envy on the Coast for starters =] Creedence Clearwater Revival
Kyuss
Mudhoney
Isis
Elefant

Peace! yeah FOB is awful.
AFI is my all time favorite band.
Their sound has changed a lot over the past years soo:
Album:
Very Proud of Ya-its hardcore punk, fast paced and awesome!
answer that and stay fashionable-maybe a little bit less hardcore?hmm. this album is another great punk one of theirs though! "i wanna mohawk(but my mom wont let me get one" and "brownie bottom sundae" are my favorite songs from that album
A fire inside EP-four songs on this one and they are all great. they do two covers,"demonomania" by misfits and "the hanging garden" by the cure. fxcking awesome EP!
Shut your mouth and open your eyes-perhaps their most hardcore album =]! love it
Black Sails In The Sunset-though Hunter from AFI says there is no one album that was the huge change in the band's sound,I would have to say this album is a change from shut your mouth. . ,very proud of ya and . stay fashionable. its still punkish but this album was a great change, not a bad change at all. Its a bit darker and definitely one of AFI's best albums
The Art of Drowning-my favorite album! I think they have the most unique sound in this album and I love every single song on this album for sure.
my favorites from this album are:
"days of the pheonix","6 to 8","of greetings and goodbyes"and "the nephilim"
sing the sorrow- newer stuff. Its not punk or hardcore. it doesnt really fit in any rock genre but that is what makes this album so great! its another really unique one with more. .hmm what word should I use. .um more "intense" lyrics
decemberundergound- their latest album. Now I ve heard many bad things about this album, but this album is not bad at all. Its amazing. big change compared to AFI's old stuff but all the lyrics are meaningful and all the songs on decemberundergound, are darker than other albums. some people are disappointed by this change in the band but I would have to disagree. this album is simply amazing!
They also released a cd live from long beach arena (I Heard A Voice) in november which is fun to rock out to!
Ok Im done with talking about AFI haha.
