Darth you inspired me. Who in your opinion best represents the working man and heartland? Why? Good question...have a star...!!!
I luv both of them.....The Boss hits the Patriotic nerves
Mellencamp covers both & really does a lot with his Farm Aid concerts, living in the farm country,it's a difficult choice for me. He also hits the hearts of the working class & has some Patriotic songs.
Springsteen does both also. They both have great music so I have no choice but to call it a tie. It's funny; both of them have been slammed here in the last 2 weeks. Bruce just within the last hour.
I'll take The Boss. But still, I suspect the true 'working man' might have a tougher time relating to guys who are known millionaires. It mighta been easier when both were young & still hungry. I will go with the Boss. Born in the U.S.A says it all. .......... THE BOSS ............Is back Mellencamp! I love him, I thnk he's simply amazing. R-O-C-K In The USA. He worked hard to get where he is. BRUCE ALL THE WAY.
Who is Mellencamp if you don't mind my asking...
or maybe I am just Blinded by the light i like bruce Bruce Springsteen Can You say, "Bruce".............. You'll like this answer then Jem
Bob Seger...
Bob Seger is the true American Rock Icon
And Night Moves is the best American pure rock album ever recorded
Springsteen might have his finger on the pulse of NY & NJ, but Bob Seger has his finger firmly on the pulse of the heartland af the USA, and has since about 1970
Born To Run, I don't think so. try Turn The Page
And inspiring is My reason to exist, You're Welcome
"The Boss" is supremely overrated people |
