Ozzy 'Blizzard of Ozz' question...? |
Most people including myself thought that Ozzy would never make it on his own after leaving Black Sabbath. His first album proved everyone wrong. The musicians on that album had already cut their teeth with several notable bands. Some, 10 years or more before 'Blizzard of Ozz' was ever released! Vinster - Great answer, but I can think of several other notable bands that a couple of the people that you mentioned played with. Randy Rhodes-Guitar Randy Rhoads!!! You had Lee Kerslake from Uriah Heep , and Bob Daisley from Dio (ex Mungo Jerry) , and Randy Rhoads , ex Quiet Riot. That about do? Don Airey I was fortunate to see Ozzy on the blizzard tour in 1981, Kerslake and Daisley did not tour with him, Rudy Sarzo and Tommy Aldrige along with Randy Rhoads were his touring band. if you know the answer, why are you asking? Randy Rhoads(ex-Quiet Riot) was his lead guitarist, Don Airey (ex Rainbow) was his keyboard player, Bob Daisley (ex Rainbow) was his Bassist, Lee Kerslake (ex Uriah Heap) was his Drummer. This is my favorite album of all time, in my opinion Ozzy's best, and this album did indeed prove people wrong and it proved that Ozzy could very well make it in the music business as a solo artist |
