How many of you think Evanescence is over-rated and that there are better female-fronted bands out there?

Seriously, I threw up today when I learned that one of the worst songs ever was up for a grammy for best hard rock performance...they'll probably get raped by the voting though, but still, I just don't get the appeal of this band at all. Only 2 songs are good from them and that's it.

I personally can't stand Evanescence, and I agree with you that they are EXTREMELY over-rated. I really hate it when the crappier female fronted bands get pushed.. There are a ton of great femal fronted bands out there right now that are getting no love. I can't stand that woman's voice, it sounds like a dying cat yowling. I also get a sick bit of pleasure out of the fact that she can't hold on to band members.

Sleater-Kinney is one of the best bands around, bar none. 7 Year B1tch rocks as well.

When Ben Moody left the group, it pretty much sucked for them after that. He wrote all the best songs

but I am a fan of Paramore, a female fronted band, and they are up for a Grammy Nomination for best new band!!!! I hope they win :)'

And as un-hardcore as it is, I LOVE Rilo Kiley and Regina Spektor. Even though Regina isn't really a band...
But yeah, point is, evanescence is a barf fest.

Yeah they might be mainstream as f*ck but she is very talented and I hate mainstream,the band not so much but there's no denying her talent though

I never liked the band, and probably I'll never be a fan of them, I am more incline towards bands Like Nightwish and Lacuna Coil

i like paramore and flyleaf a lot more. i used to be an evanescene fan, but not so much anymore

omg are you kidding me? evanescence is the best band ever! at least they have meaning behind their music! If you don't have something nice to say about them why post? I love all of their songs. omg please tell me you aren't another hannah montana fan....I mean yea she's ok but she doesn't even write her own music and it looks like she's trying to be brittney spears... =[
