I was listening to Skin by Breaking Benjamin and I didn't really care for it... but I think if it was sung by Davey Havok or Matt Devine, I think I'd like it. Yeah, pretty much every song ever could be done better by someone else, thats why covers are so fun, but thats not the point of music is it,
The real question is why are these songs, that sound bad with the current singer and would sound better if performed by someone else, are still popular and up for debate? red sky by thrice. i would love it to be sung by amylee from evanescence. it would be amaze. My Chemical Romance, Disturbed, and Creed would all sound way better with different vocalists. Unless they all switched vocalists then it would sound even worse. |
